Rode Kiwi (Actinidia purpurea)

Actinidia purpurea is an uncommon red kiwi species is fully hardy and do well in the Dutch garden. It is a strong grower that can grow without pruning to 10 meters. The species is unisexual, so that there are required a male and female plant in order to get kiwis. You can grow a male and female plant together. Seed description:
The seeds first 4-8 weeks refrigerate and then sow seed and cutting soil at room temperature. If there is no germination after a few months, you can re-refrigerate the seeds. After 4-8 weeks turn warm again. With the transition from cold (winter) to heat (spring) germination rest must be broken and may require several cold spells for that. Germination can take several months.
