Easy to grow crop. Is does best on a fertile, well drained soil.
Sow: sensitive to frost, sowings from beginning of May for harvest in August, half July for autumn harvest. Row distance 40 cm, thinning out at 15-20 cm. Early sowings in March under cover.
Harvest: from July onwards. Bulbs require earthing up in autumn to increase life time.
