Arugula coltivata Esmee is a proprietary cultivar of the Bolster. The Esmee has beautiful fine and incised leaves. The taste is spicy nutty, but not bitter.
Sowing is best in rows - 10-15 cm distance - from early May until late Autumn. Once every 3 to 4 weeks in small portions spread gives a good crop diversification. Early seeding (March and April) is not recommended due to premature firing. In case of late sowing under glass (October) you can enjoy in the winter of this crop for quite a long period, the risk of frost damage is small.
